Ts&Cs / Booking Policy

All bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed by the owner. The owner has the right to refuse any booking prior to written email confirmation. ​The party leader must be over 18 years at the time of booking.

Payment of Deposit and Security Deposit: Following an enquiry and subject to availability, the owner will email the full amount of the rental and bank payment details. This will include the booking deposit which is one half (50%) of the total amount. The booking is confirmed once the owner has received the booking deposit by bank transfer and confirmed receipt. The remainder of the balance plus a security deposit (£200) is due one (1) month prior to the first day of the rental. If you make a booking which commences within one (1) month, the entire rental amount is due (plus security deposit) at time of confirmation of booking. You must contact the owner prior to arrival if the £200 security deposit wasn’t paid for any reason at the time of the booking. This payment will be refunded in full unless any deductions need to be made for damage etc. No deductions will be made without prior communication with you.

Cancellations and changes: If you need to change your booking, please email us on hello@holecottagecley.com or telephone us as soon as possible. If at all possible, we will try to accommodate any reasonable requests.​ Cancellations made less than one (1) month prior to rental will be liable to a cancellation fee of 50% of your total rental; cancellations made within two (2) weeks of your arrival date will be subject to the full rental charge.

 

Housekeeping: where a letting exceeds seven nights, a mid-stay clean, bed and towel change are included in the price. 

 

Maximum occupancy of the property, including its grounds, is four (4) guests, at any point during your stay.

 

One well behaved dog allowed only per family stay, unless otherwise agreed by the owner in writing. 

Unauthorised over occupancy is a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in the cancellation of your booking and additional charges.

Hole Cottage is an old and characterful property with some low doorways. It has a narrow uneven staircase which may not be suitable for all. We recommend persons 12 years and over stay at the property.

 

The cottage does not have level access to the front door (there is a step up to the front gate and another small step in the courtyard). There is level access from the main entrance to the kitchen/dining area and the living room, however, both loos are located upstairs.

 

Parking: we have one (1) car parking space directly outside the cottage by the flint wall and front gate.
